Intervention Analysis

Course Description

Based on the work of John Heron, intervention analysis takes a look at the impact of our interventions. The course explores the six categories of prescriptive, cathartic, informative, catalytic, supportive and confrontational, from various perspectives. Appropriate and inappropriate use, as well as practice in using the interventions in combination to enhance a layer of classroom teaching which is often overlooked – communication.
