Sexuality Awareness and disability

Course Description

While it is widely accepted that one in five of young people up to the age of eighteen with have been sexually abused, the number is unknown amongst young people the physical and/or mental disabilities. Many suspect it is higher due to the personal space access of carers and others, combined with the persons’ inability to speak out. This course demonstrates ways to empower. The course material is based on the work of the Cyprus Family Planning Association.
